Giant burst of energy
At least when it involves knitting! I am fiiinally getting to working on knitting. After being sick for so long and having no energy to even knit (let alone study or practice BIO, HP, or my 21pts)... I was pretty eager to get back to the needles. I am working on a sock called Spring Forward. It's coming out ok... I think I chose yarn that is too dark to truly show off the pattern, but it's still pretty, so I'm going forward with it. I'm also finally finishing up a pair of free style mittens that I was supposed to make for Mina a month ago. I will finish the thumb on the 2nd mitten and then take a picture of it. I made up the pattern completely, so they aren't the prettiest, but they are functional! And I'm pretty proud of the fact that I was able to fully create a pattern. Maybe that will encourage me to make a pattern that is actually attractive now. :o) Then lastly, I just got some yarn that my mommy sent me that I will use to make a sweater. Yes, I am going to attempt a sweater! Hopefully this one will fit. *will actually do a gauge swatch instead of winging it*
In some bad news... I took a few midterms while I was very ill and could barely study and even during the exams I felt dizzy, feverish, etc. Well, needless to say, my grades have suffered... in fact I'm currently failing 2 classes. I just got a letter in the mail indicating that I must see the lead instructors and the associate dean to discuss this. It's the first time this has happened, and hopefully the only time. I will have to show them what I can do in the upcoming few weeks that are left. In light of this, I think this Friday will be spent alternating knitting and studying for my upcoming exams next week. I've got 1 week to study hard for one of the classes I'm not doing well in. I better ace that test! Wish me luck on that...
Oh, and also... look at this yarn... notice anything interesting about the color?? ;o) I think it's pretty highly amusing.
And now I'm going to leave you with a few pictures:
I think this plastic cow may be happier than most dairy cows...
